I would only suggest the lpk if you were looking for a small, streamlined, cheap and portable controller. I do not know your budget so I will assume you are sticking to a smaller sized budget. You will soon realize how useful midi controls are to your workflow and you'll quickly outgrow the lpk.
For a relatively small amount of money ($100 range) you can get something that will be much more useful in terms of functionality. I disagree with the lpk keyboard suggestion simply due to not offering much in the way of features.
